Brush Baby Toothbrushes Step Into The Limelight

Although we’re not one to toot our own horn, we don’t mind if other people happen to see how wonderful the Brush-Baby kids toothbrush products are…and the Daily Mail have done just that!

Brush-Baby MD and ‘Mumpreneur’, Dominique Tillen, has hit headlines once again with an article in the Daily Mail that highlights the great work Brush-Baby are doing for children’s dental care.

How Brush-Baby got started

The article mentions how Brush-Baby first got started when Dominique found that there were no products on the market designed specifically to clean her 6 month old baby Lulu’s gums and first teeth.

After buying what was the only product on the market at the time, she was left trying to manipulate a regular children's toothbrush into her small baby’s mouth, just to clean it.

The ineffectiveness of what was on the market, was exemplified by baby Lulu's preference for merely chewing on the over-sized toothbrush for toddlers rather than letting her mum clean with it… not making for a terribly effective cleaning routine!

The ‘light bulb’ moment

The article recalls the ‘light bulb’ moment Dominique had after being made redundant from her medical sales position and began devising a new product that would actually suit a baby and toddler's dental care needs.

‘I took expert advice (my twin sister is a dentist), researched the market and designed the Brush-Baby Chewable First Toothbrush for baby, shaped to fit the gumline and with soft silicone bristles.’

‘I used my redundancy money to invest in the mould, had the product tested, protected and launched it’.

The rest, as they say, is history!
