The Christmas traditions getting kids’ toothbrushing!

December – the month of the year when excitement (and meltdowns!) are at their peak!  However,  there are some ways that you can use old and new Christmas traditions to your advantage to maintain those routines (and we’re making ‘no bones’ about it), we’re talking about toothbrushing here!

Letters to Father Christmas to see who is on the ‘naughty’ or ‘nice’ list. Elf on the Shelf – who with his antics, really doesn’t set a very good example, or stand much of a chance getting on that list! Use him!

Advent calendar filler ideas? - Maybe try a new toothpaste flavour?  We’ve got diddy-sized Toothpastes (12ml) Applemint and Tutti Frutti flavours, which are just perfect - especially for drawers, pockets or doors of the diy advent calendars that have increased in popularity in recent years.

Routine gives a structure to a child’s day, and helps you as parents and caregivers, to lay some ground rules.  A two minutes toothbrushing habit is fundamental to a morning and evening routine, marking the beginning and ending of a day – wherever they are, and whatever day of the year it is.
Brush-Baby can help! Our yummy toothpastes with their no-foaming formulations, are gentle on the palate and tastebuds, but tough on teeth. Two minute timers on our electric and rechargeable toothbrushes take the guesswork out of timing (funny how a child’s 2 minutes is soooo fast!)  and the trademarked DeepClean flossing bristles on our toothbrushes make light work of an essential lifeskill, which will definitely see a few ‘Brownie points’ awarded when Santa’s Judgement Day of Lists arrives!

Routine is fundamental to forming good oral hygiene habits… but it doesn’t have to be boring! Toothbrushing really can be your ally and used in a ‘carrot and stick’ approach throughout December.

Three cheers for toothbrushing – hip, hip, hooray! Hip, hip hooray! Hip, hip hooray!
